There are two main types of sun protection: chemical and mineral. Chemical sunscreens, like Homosalate, absorb UV rays, while mineral ones, such as Zinc Oxide, block them. In the U.S., a 10% concentration of Homosalate is deemed safe and contributes to SPF 4 of our SPF 50 product. The FDA also recognizes Octocrylene, present in many skincare products, as safe up to 10%.

Our Luxe Soleil Hybrid SPF 50 meets FDA guidelines and undergoes rigorous Quality Control checks for each ingredient. Here's our product breakdown:

CHEMICAL BARRIER: Homosalate 10%, Octocrylene 5%, Octisalate 10%

MINERAL BARRIER: Zinc Oxide 5%

Many top beauty brands prefer chemical barriers for their broad-spectrum benefits. All ingredients, including mineral blockers, include considerations—like inhalation concerns for Titanium & Zinc Oxides.

Manufacturing a sunscreen with only mineral barriers would be more cost-effective, but it wouldn't offer the advantages of combining mineral and chemical blockers.

We prioritize transparency, listing all ingredients online to enable informed decisions.
